Welcome to CVRAC
The Concho Valley Regional Advisory Council represents Trauma Service Area K (TSA-K), a geographic area defined by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
A RAC is an organization made up of local citizens who represent hospitals, prehospital providers, physicians, nurses and other individuals interested in trauma care, injury prevention, cardiac care, stroke care and disaster preparedness within a Trauma Service Area.

No matter how rapid the arrival of professional emergency responders, bystanders will always be first on the scene. That is why it is important to stop blood loss quickly. “Stop the Bleed” is a nationwide campaign to empower individuals to act quickly and save lives.
Remember to be aware of your surroundings and move yourself and the injured person to safety, if necessary.
For hospitals & EMS
The Concern Form is a way for entities to resolve an issue with another entity or simply get concerns answered. The completed form is sent to the CVRAC Executive Director, then forwarded to the other entity involved for an answer, and the process continues until the concern is resolved.
The concern stays between the entities and the CVRAC Executive Director unless outside expertise is required to resolve the issue.
Hospital bed data requirements for each Trauma Service Area are published by the Texas Department of State Health Services through its Hospital Preparedness Program.

Programs
Severe blood loss is one of the leading causes of preventable death. Prehospital blood programs equip ambulances and medical helicopters with blood so trained EMS personnel can begin transfusions at the scene or during transport.
Leadership
CVRAC’s Executive Board brings together nurses, paramedics and program managers from Reagan County Hospital District, Sutton County EMS, Ballinger Memorial Hospital District and Shannon Medical Center.
